Hamilton Finishes 17th In Richmond
With a new look to the No. 25 Team Rensi Motorsports Ford Fusion, Bobby Hamilton, Jr. finished the Lipton Team 250 in the 17th position. Along for the ride this week as the primary sponsor was The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg. Armed with cases of high quality, fresh peanuts, Hamilton went to battle on the tough Richmond International Raceway track.
Hamilton started from the 20th position and began to work his way closer to the top ten. The car seemed to handle well throughout the early portions of the event, allowing Hamilton to move as high as 11th position. From this point forward, Hamilton ran into small roadblock that seemed to stall his run for a top ten. An ill-timed pit stop by a competitor parked beside the Team Rensi pit cost Hamilton 6 spots on the racetrack early in the event. Later on in the night, the final set of tires didn’t seem to mesh with the car’s setup and kept Hamilton from moving higher than 17th position.
“We ran ok tonight, we just had a few little things keep us from finishing in the top-ten,” Hamilton said. “It was a lot of fun having The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg on board with us and we look forward to having their products on the truck all season long.”
Denny Hamlin captured the win in the Lipton Team 250. With his 17th place finish, Hamilton now stands in 11th position in the season long point’s race. Next up for the team will be a Friday night battle at Darlington Raceway.
THE PEANUT SHOP OF WILLIAMSBURG
Located in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg is The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg, the place where our own "founding fathers" began. It was in that tiny shop where our small batch, hand-cooked roasting techniques were developed & perfected. While the shop is still there, we have long since moved our roasting kitchen to larger confines just north of Williamsburg while staying true to our original cooking traditions.
Although there have been many changes since The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg first opened its doors, what hasn't changed is the extraordinary, crunchy flavor resulting from time honored roasting methods. Peanut Shop peanuts still achieve their legendary flavor and crunchiness as a result of time honored cooking practices. We begin with only premium quality, super extra large Virginia peanuts, hand selected for their size. These peanuts are first water blanched, which gives them their fresh & unique crunchiness, and then small batch roasted in 100% pure peanut oil under the direct supervision of our Roastmaster. They are carefully vacuum packaged and held in our climatized storage facility and then shipped directly to you; only when you, our valued customers, need them.
