Team Rensi Motorsports Signs Boris Said For Nationwide Series International Events

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (March 19, 2008) -- Team Rensi Motorsports announced today the signing of Boris Said to pilot the No. 25 No Fear Energy / Smithfield Foods Ford Fusion for the two NASCAR Nationwide Series international races -- in Mexico City (April 20) and Montreal (Aug. 2).

Said, 45, has competed in motorsports events throughout the world, and in recent years, has found great success running in a limited number of NASCAR races. He is considered to be one of the top international road-racers.

Said has competed in all three Nationwide Series events in Mexico, recording three top-five finishes with one pole. He also competed in the inaugural Montreal race, starting fourth and finishing 28th last summer.

Veteran crew chief Frank Stoddard will work with Said and Team Rensi Motorsports for both Nationwide Series events.

Ronnie Russell, president of Team Rensi Motorsports, expressed his excitement in completing the agreement, allowing Team Rensi Motorsports to compete in all 35 Nationwide Series events this season.

“It’s exciting to know Team Rensi Motorsports will now race in every Nationwide Series event,” noted Russell. “We worked real hard to make this happen, it was important to our team to enter every race.  Having Boris Said in the No. 25 No Fear / Smithfield Foods Ford Fusion in Mexico City and Montreal will be a real honor.  Every race Boris enters he is a threat to win the pole and the race.  It will be great having him on our team this season.”

Said is looking forward to competing in both events for Team Rensi Motorsports.

“I am excited about working with Team Rensi Motorsports and competing in both of these races,” offered Said. “Mexico City and Montreal are very challenging road courses.  I can’t wait to drive the No. 25 Ford with primary sponsorship from No Fear Energy and Smithfield Foods.”

“I also want to convey a special thank you to Dan Davis and Doug Hervey of Ford Racing, Jack Roush and the entire Roush Fenway Racing team,” added Said. “The support from these folks have been nothing short of exceptional.”

Team Rensi Motorsports driver Bobby Hamilton, Jr. will continue with the original schedule of entering 33 of the 35 NASCAR Nationwide Series races.  Hamilton currently stands in 11th place after three events in the season long point’s championship.
